just a spattering of opinions and observations on our life

In a year when it looks like rhetoric and style will trump substance, McCain has got his work cut out. He might consider a weekend off with a Bible, a copy of the Constitution, and some old Ronald Reagan speeches.
- Star Parker
Oh what simple, but nearly impossible advice not just for McCain, but both candidates who hope to talk Americans into putting them in charge next year. Sadly, I'm not convinced either is very interested in Parker's prescription.

I think the election choices this year are kinda like the bags of chips, rice cakes, Fritos, etc. I remember when a bag of chips was 16oz or 12oz in size. But the bags of chips I bought the other day had 9.256oz in them but the price was $2.49, the price of a 12oz bag. The bag was the same size but went phush when I opened it ...filled with air! and less product!
